去大公司面試成功的Jen（凱瑟琳·帕金森 Katherine Parkinson 飾）以為自己中了頭彩，結(jié)果卻被分配到了地下層的IT部門。部門里只有2個人，Moss（理查德·艾歐阿德 Richard Ayoade 飾）和Roy（克里斯·奧多德 Chris O'Dowd 飾），2個電腦方面的專家，生活常識類的怪人。對電腦一竅不通的Jen強裝出一副精通的樣子，惹出了不少笑話。
Jen和IT怪人二人組意外的很合拍，總會把一些本來很平常的事情，弄得一發(fā)不可收拾，讓人哭笑不得。而公司的老板（克里斯多夫·莫利斯 Christopher Morris 飾）也會時不時的出現(xiàn)，和他們一起上演讓人捧腹大笑的故事。別具一番風(fēng)味的英式幽默故事在IT部門上演。
