梅仁信是個性格孤僻的怪人，很難相處，從不與人方便。梅仁信之所以如此不近人情，原來當年他的妻子昏倒街頭，可是竟然無人伸出援手，以致錯過拯救的黃金時間，含恨而終。當年的梅仁信，是名教練，在球壇上可說是叱咤風云，計謀百出，可是由于妻子驟然離世，讓他內(nèi)疚萬分，認為忽略及虧欠了她，以致無法原諒自己，從此就隱姓埋名，遠離球場。
梅家隔壁住著莫家，兩家比鄰而居，隔著一堵薄薄的墻。
莫家與梅家起初是相安無事，可是后來因為梅仁信的不近人情，以及種種芝麻綠豆的小事，與莫家二妹莫麗花搞到水火不容，摩擦不斷,恩怨越結越深，難以化解。
年輕時候的洪滄海，意氣風發(fā)，在足球壇上赫赫有名，素以刁鉆的“任意球”讓人津津樂道。他最厲害的就是踢點球，能把球準確地送到任何位置，甚至直接入網(wǎng)。因為妻子鄭永儀和母親不和，滄海無奈之余，只好搬出家里，導致和弟弟德海對他產(chǎn)生不滿，認為他為了女人不要...
